Description
We offer the light-curing enamel-dentin adhesive system Syntac® for a chemically stable bond between composite or ceramic materials and the tooth structure. It can be used universally for direct and indirect metal-free restorations.
You can find the Syntac® Adhesive here. For correct application you first need the Syntac® Primer and then the Heliobond.

Application
- A dry working area must be ensured, ideally working with a rubber dam.
- In the case of very deep cavities close to the pulp, cover this area with a calcium hydroxide preparation and then cover it with a pressure-stable cement.
- Apply phosphoric acid gel first to prepared enamel and then to dentin. The acid should act on enamel for 15-30 seconds and on dentin for 10-15 seconds. Etching the dentin is an optional step and can be omitted with Syntac. Then rinse the gel thoroughly with a strong jet of water for at least 5 seconds and dry off any excess moisture so that a slightly moist, shimmering dentin surface is visible (wet bonding). This can be done with an air blower or with a dry brush, foam pellet or other lint-free absorbent . Do not overdry the dentin!
- Apply Syntac Primer to the cavity with a brush and rub in gently. The contact time of the Syntac Primer with dentin should be at least 15 seconds .
- Blow off any excess Syntac Primer and dry thoroughly. Do not rinse!

Apply Syntac Adhesive , allow to act for 10 seconds and seal the cavity
Dry thoroughly with an air blower. Do not rinse! -
Apply Heliobond and blow it out thinly.
Note: For direct restorations (fillings), Heliobond must be light-cured at this point. For indirect restorations, it is only polymerized together with the luting material. - Light curing of Heliobond for at least 10 seconds using a polymerization lamp with a light intensity of at least 500 mW/cm 2
- Application of the filling material or luting material according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
