Description
The fit of the Border-Lock® tray is the same as the well-known Rim-Lock tray from Schreinemakers. For a successful impression result, the dynamic pressure development in the impression material is necessary. The classic Rim-Lock tray (small, medium, large) is suitable for all 2-phase impression techniques, whereby a hard putty material ensures the pressure build-up. With the single-phase and double-mix technique, the impression tray must be

The appropriate impression tray can be selected by measuring intraorally. For the upper jaw tray, the measuring plates of the compass are brought into contact with M2 and P2 vestibularly. The compass is then placed on the measuring template. The correct tray number can now be read off very easily. For the lower jaw tray, measurements are taken lingually.
