Description
Prevention instead of cure - we all hopefully preach it, but do we also stick to it ourselves?
Studies show that dentists, in contrast to non-dentists, have to seek therapeutic help much more often. Complaints often even occur during the preparation of the phantom head.
There are various ways to prevent back problems:
- Perfect seat height and posture
- Relaxed body tension
- Ergonomic instrument handles
- Correct patient positioning
It is ideal if you can look at the work area at a 90° angle. However, this can only be achieved by positioning the patient appropriately, maintaining an upright posture and working over the mirror.

Admittedly, it is not so easy to prepare using a mirror, because the ability to convert the mirror-inverted view into an opposite motor function must first be learned.
For this reason, Mirroprep was developed and tested by the University of Tübingen.
Instructions
There is a paper template with a course that can only be seen through a mirror. The aim is to trace the course with a pencil and completely blacken the various outlines inside.
The course is used to practice the direction of the counter-rotating movement. Filling in the outline shapes simulates the preparation of the geometric shape of a cavity.
A study by the University of Tübingen confirmed that:
- the ability of counter-rotating motor skills in indirect vision can be improved through practice
- the Mirroprep is suitable for this
- the skills acquired at Mirroprep are useful in clinical implementation

What does that mean in plain language?
If you exercise your 14-day right of withdrawal for rental items, we may charge you rental costs and a reasonable cleaning and logistics fee for the number of days you have had the items with you. In practice, this means that you will not receive a refund if you return the item early.
Cleaning costs in exceptional cases
You also agree that we reserve the right to charge an appropriate cleaning fee in cases of heavy soiling. Heavy soiling is particularly present when there are residues of impression materials, grinding dust from plastic teeth or mold formation in the face mask.
A reasonable cleaning fee will also be charged if the actual rental period is less than the minimum rental period of one month. This is the case if the property is returned early.
Why is that?
Unfortunately, it happened from time to time that some geniuses returned the used rental items after 2 weeks and said that they wanted to cancel their order. To prevent this, the above rules now apply.
